Facebook have launched a new photo/video sharing service called Slingshot today.
The app will challenge a service which they failed to acquire last year, Snapchat.
So, how exactly does Slingshot work:
Your friend takes a photo or a video on his device, and shares it with slings it to you. But you won’t be able to see it, unless you send sling him a photo or video back. Now, that’s what I call brainy (in a sarcastic tone). So you better be prepared for taking a ton of selfies, just to view what you receive.
Also, the content you receive won’t stay around for long, once you swipe it away, it goes poof! But you can save your own shots. You can also add a caption or a drawing to your shots.
Here is the official video from the developers:

If that sounds like your cup of tea, you can download Slingshot from the Google Play Store. This app is compatible with Jelly Bean and KitKat devices.
