RSS News reader app Feedly received an update yesterday which brought in quite a bunch of new stuff.
I am guessing they are preparing to over Android by storm when Google shut down Reader later this year.
The biggest change in the app will be the layout for the Samsung Galaxy, the Nexus 7 & the Nexus 10.
Here’s what it looks like on my Nexus 7:
And the new widget looks great too.
A change-log for the latest version:
A faster and more intuitive vertical transition model.
Brand new widget.
New layouts for Samsung Galaxy, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10.
Better control over the list, magazine and mosaic views.
Better youtube integration.
New explore panel.
Bug fixes.
The app is definitely fast. And these are not the only features in the new update, according to their blog Feedly have improved their Search engine and made it faster and it now includes smart topic completion which will allow you to discover new topics. You can also vote up or promote articles as must reads and it will show up for other users in the Must Reads category.
They have also added support for sharing articles using Google+, Pocket and Buffer, so you can share your favorite posts and read them later too.
You can download Feedly for free from the widget below.

Oh and they also say that they have got 3 million new users, people who joined Feedly since Google announced that it will retire Reader.
When one door closes…..(er I mean) When one service is shut down, another takes over!
