Dong Nguyen, the Vietnamese developer behind the insanely addictive game, Flappy Bird, has made a shocking announcement.
Flappy Bird will be back, and guess what? It will be even better than the original.
Nguyen was raking in a whopping $50,000 a day from the advertisements in his game, before he pulled the plug on it last month, because it was affecting his personal life. Recently the developer had said in an interview, that he was considering to bring the game back, but with a message which would say “Please take a break“.
Today, Nguyen replied positively to a tweet, which asked if Flappy Bird would ever come back to the Appstore.
@Colin_052099 It will not be the original game but a better one. I keep my word.

He also said the game will also be available for Android devices.
@paperwarlock I don't work by plan. I will release it when it is done.

No ETA though, shame really. But that’s how he is said to work.

Nguyen has been quoted to be working on some other games.
- An untitled cowboy-themed shooter.
- A vertical flying game called Kitty Jetpack, and
- An action chess game called Checkonaut.
One of these games could be released this month.
So it won’t be long before the Bird flies back to the Play Store.
