The Galaxy Note 9 prices and variants have been leaked ahead of the official launch. We did report earlier about the Galaxy Note 9 512GB variant, and a new report from South Korea reiterates the fact.
Samsung is preparing to launch only two storage variants of the upcoming device. The first is the Note 9 128 GB variant. There seems to be no 256GB variant, and instead the electronics giant will directly offer a 4x storage upgrade, with the Note 9 512GB variant. The 128 GB version is the basic one now, replacing the 64GB variant which was available for the Note 8.
Galaxy Note 9 Prices
Speaking of the Note 8, the basic variant retailed for 1,094,500 Korean WON (which is about Rs. 66514 or $970). The leaked Galaxy Note 9 prices indicate that Samsung will be pricing the Note 9 128GB variant at the same price, despite the fact that the device has twice the storage. The Galaxy Note 9 512GB will be priced at 1,350,000 WON, which is about Rs. 82,000 or $1200.
Buyers in South Korea can book the phone from August 13th to 20th. Pre-orders for the device begins on August 21st. The poster which you see featured here (possibly from a retail store), also confirms that the Galaxy Note 9 will be available generally from August 24th, in Korea, another thing which we reported already. Samsung is making the phones available 20 days earlier than last year’s Note. This is the company’s way to get more sales, before Apple launches the next gen iPhones, which are rumoured for a launch in September or October.
We will know if these leaked Galaxy Note 9 prices are real, when the device is launched on August 9th, which is next Thursday. In the meantime, we can expect more leaks about the device, though a leaked poster, press renders, and some cases, do tell us a lot about the Note 9.
