Gionee’s latest flagship device ELIFE E8 is launched in India @ MOP of INR 34,999 and will be available exclusively on Snapdeal. This Snapdeal exclusivity part indicates shift of Gionee stand of selling its devices only through online channels like retailers and till now, Gionee has avoided the online portals almost completely.
Gionee ELIFE E8 sports a 6.0-inch WQHD Super AMOLED Display and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Gionee own custom Amigo UI 3.1. The size of the device appears quite big for one handed operation and we felt odd holding it in our hands during the event.
It is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 processor supported by 3 GB of RAM.
The device comes with 64 GB of internal storage along with support for expandable memory via MicroSD cards. It features a 24 Megapixel Rear Camera along with sapphire protection and reportedly can capture photos of 120 megapixels in resolution. The E8’s camera also offers Lossless zoom, even at 3X zoom. The E8 has a dedicated physical button for the camera. The front camera of the phablet is an 8 megapixel lens.
The device has Dual Speakers and supports HIFI sound. The Gionee E8 packs a 3,250 mAh battery, with fast charging. The phablet supports WiFi, NFC, and even comes with Biological (fingerprint) recognition system.
The E8 is a Dual SIM phablet and supports 4G LTE on both Sim card slots.
