Indian smartphone market in the price range of ten thousand rupees is pretty competitive. Gionee has just announced another entrant to this category of sub 10k range. Gionee F103 will be competing with other brand’s smartphones like YU yureka plus, Lenovo K3 Note, Asus Zenfone 2 Laser and many more. This is the first smartphone in Gionee’s F Series, their brand new fashion and lifestyle series in India.
Gionee F103 sports a 5 inch HD IPS display with resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels along with Dragontrail glass protection. The device is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 GPU supported by 2 GB of RAM.
In terms of storage, it comes with 16 GB Internal memory but there is no mention of support for expandable storage via MicroSD cards. We will update this post if we get a clarification on this. The device runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Amigo UI 3.1 as its operating system.
In terms of camera, it comes with 8 MP auto focus front camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 5 MP front shooter with f/2.0 aperture. It supports dual SIMs with dual standby.
In terms of connectivity, it comes with support for 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
The device is powered by a decent 2400 mAh battery.
Price and Availablity
Gionee F103 will be available in three colors i.e. Pearl White, Dawn White and Black. It will be available for Rs 9,999 starting Sept, 1st week.
