Gionee is set to officially launch the next generation of M6 smartphone i.e. Gionee M6S Plus on April 24 at an event in China. Images of an alleged invite (in paper form) for the launch event of Gionee M6S Plus has leaked on the web which shows the date as 24.04.2017. The invite tries to emphasise on the fingerprint sensor and the processor. Even though the official launch of device is yet to happen, we already know almost everything about it, as Gionee M6S Plus is already listed on Chinese certification portal TENNA along with detailed technical specifications & design of the device including the renders.
As per TENAA, Gionee M6S Plus sports a 6-inch full HD 1080p AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display, powered by 2.0 GHz octa-core processor along with 6 GB of RAM. It comes with 64 GB internal storage along with support for expandable storage up to 128 GB with a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based operating system with Gionee Amigo OS on top of it.
In terms of camera, Gionee M6S Plus features a 12-megapixel main rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and another 8-megapixel front-shooter for selfies. It is backed by a huge 6020 mAh non-removable battery. It includes fingerprint scanner placed on its back panel. In terms of connectivity, it supports Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 ac/a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, a microUSB port and includes sensors such as Gravity sensor & light sensor. In terms of dimensions, it measures 163 × 80.8 × 8.2 mm and weighs 212 grams. The phone will be available in two colour options- White and Gold.
