As expected, Gionee has launched Gionee S6 Pro in China at a price of 1999 Yuan (~Rs. 20,000 or ~$300). S6 Pro is the successor to existing Gionee S6 which was launched in November last year in China and in February 2016 in India.
Gionee S6 Pro sports a metal body with magnesium alloy and features a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS display with 2.5D screen glass. S6 Pro is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6755m Helio P10 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Approximately 50 GB storage is available for the end-user. It runs on Amigo OS3.2 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It comes with support for expandable storage vuia microsd card up to 128 GB.
In terms of camera, it sports a 13 MP main rear camera with full HD 1080p video support and 8 MP front shooter for selfies. The fingerprint sensor is integrated with the home button on the front.
It is backed by a Polymer lithium-ion battery of 3130 mAh capacity with a talk time of 38 hours. It measures 153 mm x 75.26 mm x 7.6 mm and weighs 170 grams. It comes with USB type C port, OTG support and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It supports 2G / 3G / 4G and VOLTE. It is a dual SIM device with Micro SIM + Nano SIM slot and comes with dual standby.
At the moment we have no information on whether S6 Pro will be launched in India or not. If yes, then at what time. But if you look at past records, you can assume safely that it will be launched in next 2-3 months in India.
