Popular Chinese OEM, Gionee, the latest manufacturer to join the “Make in India” bandwagon.
The company has begun manufacturing phones in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh.
The Gionee F103 is the first phone from the company to be manufactured in India. The phones will be manufactured by Foxconn in SriCity, who also make the devices for Xiaomi India.
The Gionee F103 was launched in September, and it was in the same month when Gionee had originally announced its intentions to manufacture phones in India with Dixon and Foxconn.
