After the global launch of HTC 10 i.e. the flagship device of HTC powered by Snapdragon 820, there has been a lot of confusion on its launch in India. It all started with HTC India portal listing the “HTC 10 lifestyle” variant of HTC 10 powered by Snapdragon 652 with 3 GB of RAM.
But today in the morning HTC India updated the same listing and modified it to HTC 10 powered by Snapdragon 820 with 4 GB of RAM. Yet we were not sure on which variant(s) HTC plans to launch in India.
Now we have an official statement from HTC. Here is what Mr. Faisal Siddiqui, President HTC South Asia says:
We are pleased to announce that global flagship HTC 10 is coming soon to India. Stay tuned for the announcement and the availability date.
Now if you look at the statement closely, you will notice that the company is using the term “global flagship HTC 10” without elaborating on what it means by global flagship. To be honest, we are still not sure if it means that HTC 10 powered by Snapdragon 820 and 4 GB RAM will be launched in India or whether both the variants will be launched?
HTC Lifestyle variant is listed in many south Asian countries and hence we need to wait till the official announcement or launch of the device in India.
