Today, Google released a Gmail update which make the Gmail app much better bringing better Gmail notifications letting you reply and archive messages right from notifications with just one quick tap.
If you are on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and up, the Gmail update today brings reply, archive or delete from notifications feature without even opening the the app. If you are on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and up but below Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), this update brings faster search even if you’re offline and various bug fixes & performance improvements.
For Android 2.2 and up, the update brings new Labels API for 3rd-party app developers and performance improvements.
