A few weeks ago Google began rolling out the new version of Google Play for users in the U.S. And the rumor was that they would make it available for all Countries soon.
And it looks like they have started rolling out the new version for all users today.I actually noticed the update this morning on my Nexus 7, but as I did not get it on my phones I thought maybe they are sending the updates for the Nexus devices only.
But now a few moments ago, I got the latest version of the Google Play app, 4.0.27 on my Samsung Galaxy S Advance.
The new UI does look good, but the icons are way too big. And there is still no section for “My purchased apps”. All the other settings from the previous version remain intact.
The biggest change is when you browse for apps, you can tap the three-dot button beside it, to install an app or add it to your wishlist directly. You can also update your app or open it in the same way.
Oh and in case you are wondering where the option to disable Admob ads is, you will find it in the Google settings app, aka the mysterious Green icon with the G and the gear.
So what do you think about the new update? Do you like it or prefer the old one? Drop a comment below and share your thoughts.
