Google has announced that it has updated its Data Saver for Chrome for Android, to help users save more data.
The web browser has had this mode for quite a while now, but apparently it still wasn’t optimizing pages well enough.
This changes with the latest version of the Data Saver, which removes all images from a webpage to load pages up to faster on slow connections, whilst saving upto 70% of data. Users will still be able to tap on the images to load them.
The new expanded Data Saver in Chrome is available for users in India and Indonesia for now, but Google says it will add support for more countries to be added in the coming months.
