If you have an Android phone or tablet, you are likely to have experienced lags on your device.
Google is aware of such issues, and even has a machine built specifically to test the touchscreen latency of Android devices.
Meet the Google Chrome TouchBot, a robot built by OptoFidelity, a Finland based company. The TouchBot is used by Google’s Chrome OS team to check for lags on Android and Chrome OS devices. The bot swipes the screen, taps on it, drags a line, and conducts more tests.
Watch the video below, to see how the bot works.
The video was actually captured by a high speed camera.
You can also visit the official website of Chrome OS Touch Latency Test, to check how it works. This robot coild be used to improve the touch responsiveness of Android devices.
