Google is rolling out a new feature to its cloud storage service Drive.
The Mountain View company’s latest addition to the app, will now display push notifications for shared files.
This means that you will no longer need to wait for an email, to learn that a file has been shared with you, a simple notification from the app will do so, and instantly. Tapping on the notification will also take you to the file immediately.
Google Drive now allows the recipient of a shared link, to request access to the file, in case you haven’t enabled access for them. Additionally, Android users who do not have a Google account, can now preview files, similar to how it works on desktops.
The new feature will be rolling out this week.
