Google Nexus 6 and Chromecast are now officially available in India

It has been quite a while since Google’s media streaming device, the Chromecast, was launched in the U.S.

Now it has been officially launched in India.

What is Chromecast?

Chromecast is a thumb-sized media streaming device that plugs into the HDMI port on your TV. Simply use an Android phone, tablet, iPhone, iPad, Mac or Windows laptop, or Chromebook to cast your favorite entertainment and apps right to the big screen.

Chromecast is being sold exclusively on Snapdeal for a price of Rs. 2,999. You also get some offers for Airtel Broadband and Eros Premium when you buy the device.

Nexus 6 now available in India:

The Google Nexus 6 which was launched in India, almost a month ago, but wasn’t available until today.

Amit Boni, the General Manager of Motorola India announced that the phone will be available from December 10th, when the Great Online Shopping Festival, GOSF 2014 starts. Here is what he said:

“We are delighted to announce the launch of Nexus 6 in India with gosf.in. The Nexus 6 brings with it Better multitasking capabilities, Helpful notifications and Beautiful design enhancing the user experience and style quotient. We are confident that the Indian consumer will enjoy our latest offering.”
