The upcoming Google flagship devices i.e. Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL may officially launch on October 4 this year. This is the same date on which Google launched their Pixel devices two years ago, followed by Pixel 2 next year on the same date. It seems that Google is not in a mood to change the launch date.
The launch date information comes from a Famebit campaign for Google Pixel 3 which is an ad posted on online marketing platform seeking Canadian content creators to promote the flagship phone on YouTube starting October 4 letting the cat out of the bag. The advertising campaign suggests that Pixel 3 is “launching” on October 4. The availability of the devices may happen later on.
Based on rumours, both devices are expected to be powered by the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor along with 4GB/6GB of RAM. Google Pixel 3 features a 5.4-inch display without a notch while the Pixel 3 XL comes with a 6.2-inch sized display with a notch. Rumours also suggest two front-facing cameras for both the device and feature front-facing stereo speakers as we have seen in the predecessors. In terms of physical dimensions, the Pixel 3 will measure 145.6 x 68.2 x 7.9mm, while the XL variant will measure 158 x 76.6 x 7.9mm. If you include the camera bump too, then both smartphones will measure 8.6mm thin. We have also seen case renders of both the device revealing the design.
