Google Play Store’s web interface has a new layout and it looks hideous.
Take a look at the above image, see the huge space wasted on either side of the app listing?
The screenshot was taken on my computer, and the Play Store looks absolutely ridiculous on desktops now. And it only gets worse with higher resolutions.
The design looks better on my phone and on my tablet, so that explains why the Mountain View company has rolled out the change.
But it is perplexing that Google has forgotten a key fact. The majority of Android devices, have the Google Playstore app available by default, and users will access the Store though the app.
But the number of users who visit it on their Android browser is likely to be very low, so this ugly change, which affects computer users, is unnecessary.
