Duo was launched about a month ago, but the hype about the video calling app has gone down. And the Mountain View company knows this.
That’s why Google has launched a series of video ads, which are cute and funny, on YouTube.
I’m not gonna tell you what the ads are about, so you will have to watch them for yourself and find out. And you can do that right here:

Each of the video’s description, highlights the fact that Duo one-on-one calling works with Android phones and iPhones. In fact the devices featured in the ads are Nexus and iPhones.
And the ads themselves are probably a means to convey that Duo is meant for video calling between two people, and not for group video chats. But will this ever be used more than normal voice calls, or IMs?
Hopefully the upcoming instant messaging app, Allo, will prove to be more successful than Duo has been so far.
