Google has announced that the popular office suite, QuickOffice has gone freeware.
And as a bonus, you also get 10 GB of free space on Google Drive if you sync it with the app.
Google had bought Quickoffice earlier this year and they have incorporated a very useful feature from it to Google Drive, editing MS Office documents.
Key features of Google’s version of Quickoffice:
- Create and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint files
- Access files in Google Drive and on your device
- Open and view PDF files
- Share files through previously shared Google Drive folders
- Attach files to emails
If you sign in to your Google Account from the new Quickoffice app for Android by September 26, 2013 you can get an extra 10GB of Google Drive storage for free. (look for it in the next few weeks)
