The successor to Huawei Honor 7 which was launched last year almost same time i.e. Honor 8 is going to be launched on 5th of July. The information comes through a new leak on Weibo (via Reviewer). Apart from the launch date, the leak also reveals some of the major specifications of the Honor 8 smartphone and render images.
As per the leak, Honor 8 comes with metal build with double-sided glass featuring a 5.2 inch 2K display, powered by Huawei Kirin 955 processor with 4 GB of RAM. Honor 7 also comes with 5.2 inch display but it is a Full HD screen instead of 2K display and is powered by Kirin 935 CPU with 3 GB of RAM.
In terms of camera, it comes with a 12 MP dual camera, whereas Honor 7 came with 20 MP main rear camera and a 8 MP front shooter. Honor 8 is backed by a battery of 3200 mAh capacity along with support for fast charge.
The leak also suggests support for fingerprint identification and infrared remote control. Two variants of Honor 8 are expected with the operator version priced at 1999 Yuan and the 128GB variant priced at 2799 yuan. Honestly w are not sure what “operator variant” means here.
