Huawei sub-brand Honor has announced that they will be launching a new smartphone on January 8 in China. The announcement comes from the official Honor account on Weibo which released a teaser that also revealed some basic hardware specification of the phone such as 8MP Selfie camera, 64GB ROM and Android Pie operating system.
The alleged press renders of Honor 8A has also leaked on the web which confirms all the design details of the phone and matches with the one listed on Chinese certification agency TENAA. It comes with a waterdrop display with a single camera at the rear but without a fingerprint sensor. The leaked press renders indicate two colour options of Blue and Black. The renders also suggest that the phone will have a glass back (or clear plastic) instead of a full metal body of the Honor 7A.
Based on TENAA listing, Honor 8A sports a 6.09-inch HD+ Display with the resolution of 1560 × 720 pixels having an aspect ratio of 19:5:9. It is powered by 2.3GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P35 Processor along with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It runs on EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system.
In terms of camera, it features a 13MP main rear camera with LED flash while on the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera for selfie & video calls. It comes with support for Dual SIM card and MicroSD card and is backed by a 3,000 mah battery.
