As announced, Honor has just announced its phablet smartphone Honor Note 8 at an event in China, which competes with Xiaomi Mi Max which was launched few months ago. Honor Note 8 comes with even bigger display than Xiaomi Mi Max i.e. 6.6 inch whereas the Max comes with a 6.44 inch display.
Honor Note 8 comes with massive 6.6-inch 2K display (2560 x 1440 pixels) with a pixel density of 443 ppi which is a Super AMOLED screen with 105% NTSC color gamut and 70000:1 contrast ratio. It is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 955, an octa-core processor (16 nm chipset) along with 4 GB of RAM. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system. In terms of storage, it comes with 64 GB of internal storage along with support for expandable storage via microsd card.
Note 8 sports 13 MP main rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and an RGBW sensor+ ISP image processing engine, low-light environments with dual LED flash. The selfie lens is an 8 megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The Honor Note 8 features a rear placed fingerprint scanner, and is backed by a 4500 mAh battery with support for fast charge with a 9V2A Type-C power adopter.

Honor Note 8 is price starts at 2299 Yuan (~Rs. 23,000) for the 4 GB + 32 GB variant, whereas the 4 GB + 64 GB variant is priced at 2499 Yuan (~Rs. 25,000)and the 4 GB + 128 GB variant is priced at 2799 Yuan (~Rs. 28,000). The first sale of the Note 8 will start on August 9 in China. At the moment, we have no information on global roll out of the phablet from Honor.
