As we reported yesterday, Blackberry officially released the BBM for Android on Google Play Store. But the release came with a catch. To avoid the disaster that happened with previous release of BBM, Blackberry decided to roll it out gradually by creating a waiting line for users.
Waiting line for BBM means that new users who never had a blackberry ID need to wait for their turn to arrive to start using the BBM, even though the app can be downloaded from the Play Store.
But it seems that it is possible to bypass that waiting line, thanks to a workaround found by CNET team. Here is how you too can do that.
- Open BBM for android app, enter your e-mail address, click Next, and then force-close it.
- Any app on Android can easily be force closed by using the multitasking f Android. Just click on home button, navigate to Settings >> Apps >> BBM, and then click Force Close.
- Now, start the BBM app again and now can create an account which will assign you a unique PIN and you can start using the app and begin inviting friends.
update:
It seems Blackberry has fixed this.
