HP is all set to enter Smartphone /Phablet market once again almost three years after it exited the smartphones and tablets market in 2011. As per Re/code report, HP is going to unveil two pahblets, a six-inch and seven-inch voice-enabled tablet under the brand name of Slate 6 and Slate 7 VoiceTab in India in February.
The image used in this post is that of the HP slate 6 device. HP is yet to disclose anything on pricing or the device release / availability in other countries.
Both the devices will running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean instead of the latest Android 4.4 Kitkat. In terms of hardware, the devices would be powered by unnamed quad-core processor. It can be anyone from Qualcomm or Nvidia or MediaTek or even may be Intel.
In terms of internal storage, the devices will come with 16 GB of internal storage along with support for MicroSD cards up to 32GB.
In terms of display, Slate 6 will sport a IPS display with 1,280 x 720 pixels and Slate 7 too sporting a IPS display but with 1,280 x 800 pixels resolution.
In terms of camera, both will feature a two-megapixel front-facing camera and five-megapixel rear camera with flash.
