A few photos and a list of the technical specifications of the HTC Desire 626 have been leaked on Twitter.
The phone is probably a successor to last year’s HTC Desire 616.
The 626 sports a 5″ HD 720P Display, and is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek 6572 Chipset with an Octa Core MSM8916 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, and 2 GB of RAM. The chipset probably has a Mali-T760 GPU. The HTC Desire 626 will run on Android 4.4, out of the box, but will be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Though there are a couple of similarities (Display size, resolution, battery) between the two Desire 616 and the 626, the newer one has quite a few upgrades in its internals (more internal storage, better cameras).
The Desire 626 has Dual speakers on the front. The rear snapper is a 13 Megapixel lens, and the front camera is a 5 Megapixel shooter. It has 16 GB of internal storage. It is a Dual SIM device which supports 4G LTE (as seen in the images: 4G symbol on the back, and a 4G symbol on the status bar). It packs a 2,000 mAh battery.
