HTC has officially launched a new mid range phone, called the Desire 828, in India.
The phone features a 5.5 inch Full HD 1080P display, and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with HTC Sense UI.
It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek 6753T processor clocked at 1.5GHz, with 2GB of RAM. The device has 16GB of internal storage, and supports up to 2TB expandable storage via microSD card.
The HTC Desire 828 sports a 13 megapixel rear camera, with an f/2.0 aperture, auto focus, BSI sensor, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and supports FHD 1080p video recording. The selfie lens is a HTC Ultrapixel front camera also with an f/2.0 aperture, fixed focus, BSI sensor and FHD 1080p video recording.
The phone measures at 157.7 x 78.9. x 7.9 mm, and weighs in at 148g. The Desire 828 supports Dual SIM cards, and the following networking options GSM/GPRS/EDGE,UMTS,CDMA and 4G LTE.
Supported 4G bands on the Desire 828 are:
- FDD: Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8,
- TDD: Bands 38, 39, 40, 41
The phone comes with a plethora of sensors including an Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Motion G sensor, Compass sensor, Magnetic sensor and Sensor Hub.
Other connectivity options on the phone include Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS + GLONASS, micro-USB 2.0 and a 3.5 mm stereo audio jack. The Desire 828 features HTC Boomsound speakers with Dolby Audio.
The phone is backed by a 2800 mAh battery.
The HTC Desire 828 Dual SIM has been priced at Rs 19990 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart from 14th December. The phone will be available in two colours: Dark Gray and Pearl White.
