HTC have announced that they are planning to launch a new device on March 25th.
The HTC UK Twitter account, tweeted the above image with the words “The best is about to get better”.
This can only mean that they are launching the successor to their current flagship device, the HTC One.
Unlike other devices, the HTC M8, has not seen major details about it’s specifications leaked.
Here is what we know so far thanks to HTCFamily_RU:
- No fingerprint scanner.
- Main Camera: 5 Ultrapixels
- 5″ FullHD Display, New Sound Enhancer, 36500 in benchmarks.
The phone’s rear appears to have Dual cameras accompanied by Dual LED Flash. And like it’s little brother the HTC M8 mini, the M8 will also make use of on-screen buttons, unlike the HTC One which had physical buttons.
Sadly the device’s launch is not scheduled for the Mobile World Congress. Instead it will be launched on March 25th, almost a month after the MWC.
Update: Evleaks have posted a new image of the M8 in a protected case.
Update 2:
EVleaks confirms the M8 will have a second lens. So the above images could be genuine ones. they also say that the M8 will be called the All New One, and will be available in three colors, Gray, Silver and Gold.
