As speculated, HTC has announced two new smartphones today i.e. U Ultra and U Play. Both these smartphones come with HTC Sense Companion which uses Artificial Intelligence to customize or tune your smartphone based on how you use it over a time using the native UI and apps. Company is yet to announce the pricing of both these devices and even the global availability details.
As we reported, HTC U Ultra comes with a secondary display similar to LG V20 i.e. U Ultra sports a primary 5.7-inch Super LCD QHD display with a 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution with Gorilla Glass 5 protection with a pixel density of 516 ppi and a secondary 2-inch display with 1040 x 160 pixels resolution with sapphire glass protection, on the top. Under the hood, it is powered by 2.15 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor along with 4GB of RAM. It comes with two internal storage variants of 64 GB and 128GB along with support for expandable storage via microsd card. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based operating system with HTC SenseUI on top along with Sense Companion.
In terms of camera, it features a 12-UltraPixel main rear camera with 1.55-micron pixels, a BSI sensor, laser + PDAF (phase detection autofocus), optical image stabilisation, an f/2.8 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash, whereas on the front, it comes with a 16 MP front shooter with an UltraPixel mode, and a BSI sensor.
It measures 162.41 x 79.79 x 7.9 mm, weighs 170 grams and is backed by a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support that offers up to 26 hours of talk-time and 13 days of standby time. It will be available in Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Blue, Cosmetic Pink, and Ice White.
