As we reported, Huawei Honor 5A is officially launched today in China with price starting at 699 Yuan (~Rs. 7,000). Honor 5A is another entry-level or budget smartphone targeted towards budget conscious consumers. At the moment, there is no word on whether Honor 5A would be launched in other countries such as India or not.
Honor 5A comes with a plastic body but with metal frame & shell texture decoration, with 5.5 inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 resolution & pixel density of 267 ppi. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. It comes with support for expandable storage via microsd card up to 128 GB with a dedicated slot. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system with EMUI 4.1 skin on top.
It sports a 13 MP (BSI back-illuminated camera, 28 mm wide-angle, 5P lens) main rear camera and a 8 MP front-shooter for selfies. It is backed by a embedded battery of 3100 mAh capacity. It measures 154.3 × 77.1 × 8.45 mm and weighs 168 grams. It comes with support for VOLTE.
Honor 5A mobile (3G variant most probably) and dual 4G version variants are priced at 699 Yuan and 799 Yuan whereas the Chinese network variant is priced at 799 Yuan. It will be available in colors such as white, gold, yellow, pink, blue and black.
