Just after few days, Huawei Honor 9 is scheduled to be officially launched at an event in China on June 12. The company has already sent out media invites for the launch event (reproduced below) which comes with a tag line of “Beautiful and Colourful” under the “9” logo indicating that the phone will come in different colours. Rumours indicate that Honor 9 will be available in colour options such as blue, sky blue, yellow, white and grey.
Just ahead of the official launch on June 12, a new leak has emerged which gives us sneak peek into the pricing of Honor 9. As per the leak, three variants will be launched with variations in RAM and internal storage combinations. As per leak, the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB ROM variant will be priced at 2,499 Yuan (~$370 or Rs. 23,700), while the 6 GB RAM + 64 GB ROM variant will be priced at 2,899 Yuan (~$430 or Rs. 27,500) and the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB ROM variant will be priced at 3,399 Yuan(~$500 or Rs. 32,200 ).
At the moment we do not know much about the hardware specifications except through rumours. But a new upcoming smartphone from Honor is listed on Chinese Certification agency TENAA which is believed to be Honor 9 suggests that the phone features a 5.15-inch 1080p Full HD display and is powered by Huawei Kirin 960 SOC chipset along with two RAM variants i.e. 4 GB & 6 GB. Both RAM variants come with 64 GB internal storage along with support for expandable memory with a microSD card.
In terms of camera, Honor 9 sports a dual-camera setup on the back with camera sensors of 20 MP + 12 MP and another 8 MP front shooter for selfies. In terms of battery, the phone is backed by a 3,100 mAh battery and it includes a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button on the front, below the screen.
