Huawei has just announced that they will be launching the Huawei Honor V8 on May 10 in China, which is just few weeks away. Honor is the sub brand of Huawei and Honor V8 will be the flagship device for Honor sub brand. The announcement is made through the Huawei weibo account.
They teased a GIF image and a static image which tells us the date and presence of a dual camera.
We expect this Huawei Honor V8 (codename perhaps) to be same as Honor 8 ( VIE-AL10) that passed TENAA few days ago. The dual camera setup matches with the Honor 8 TENAA listing images as reproduced below.
Huawei Honor 8 ( VIE-AL10) features a 5.5 inch Full HD AMOLED display powered by 2.5 GHz Octa-core CPU (most likely Kirin 950 chipset) with 4 GB of RAM. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system and comes with 64 GB of internal ROM / storage along with support for expandable storage via microsd card up to 128 GB.
In terms of camera, it comes with 12 MP main rear dual cameras with LED flash, but without the Leica lens that powered the Huawei P9 and a 8 MP front shooter.
It is just 7 mm thin & weighs 162 grams and is powered by a battery of 3320 mAh capacity.
