Mate 20 leaks have started to gain more steam as we draw closer to the official launch date. As you know Huawei is set to launch two new flagship devices i.e. Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro on 16th October in London. Both the devices are expected to be powered by upcoming 7nm Huawei Kirin 980 processor. We have already seen the alleged press renders of Huawei Mate 20 & Mate 20 Pro revealing the waterdrop or teardrop display for Mate 20 while the Mate 20 Pro features the usual wider notch.
We already reported on some new Cases (here, here) for these two devices ahead of official launch confirming that the Pro variant features an In-display fingerprint sensor while the standard variant comes with the usual fingerprint sensor on the rear panel.
Mate 20 Antutu Benchmark
Today some more details about Huawei Mate 20 has surfaced in the form of Antutu Benchmark details of the device revealing the key specifications. The main aspect of this series remains the official launch of the Kirin 980 processor that is powering these devices. Huawei Mate 20 Antutu database reveal the model number LYA-L29 which may be the Mate 20 global variant, with 6GB memory and 128GB body storage space.
The device total Antutu score is 313561, of which the CPU is 115296, the GPU is 112516, the UX is 69456, and the MEM is 16293. If you compare a similar 6+128GB variant of Xiaomi Mi 8 powered by Snapdragon 845 with a total score of 287,469 points, it gives Kirin 980’s lead is about 9%.
Huawei claims that Kirin 980’s CPU processor, NPU neural network engine, baseband and other parts can beat the Snapdragon 845 while the GPU part can also be basically flat, and the GPU Turbo can completely surpass the Snapdragon 845. Kirin 980 is manufactured in a 7nm process and includes two2.6GHz large core A76, two 1.92GHz medium core A76, four1.8GHz small core A55, and 720MHz Mali-G76 MP10GPU.
Mate 20 Rumoured Specs:
Rumours indicate that Huawei Mate 20 features a 6.53-inch TFT LCD FHD+ display with a screen resolution of 2244 x 1080 pixels with a water-drop notch display. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 980 processor and has a fingerprint scanner on the rear. It is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery.
