A few Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro leaked cases have been spotted by AndroidPure. And these reveal some interesting design aspects.
First of all, there is the Mate 20 case render. It tells us that the Mate 20 will have a notch display design which houses the selfie camera. There is a bit of a chin, and possibly minimal bezels.
But, considering that there is a case around the device, we expect the chin and bezels to be thicker. The power button and the volume rocker keys are on the right frame of the device.
The Huawei Mate 20 leaked case render also shows that the phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top of the frame. There is a secondary cut-out on the top, which is possibly for an infrared sensor.
The bottom frame will have a USB port, probably of the Type-C variant, and speaker grilles. The back panel seen in the Huawei Mate 20 leaked case render is where things begin to look really interesting.
The renders show a square cut-out for the rear cameras, which is rumoured to have a 4 camera setup. Also accompanied by this is a cut-out which extends below the cameras. This is probably for the fingerprint scanner on the device.
But the other set of photos, which are for the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, indicate that the device’s case only has a cut-out for the cameras. So, that phone could probably have an in-display fingerprint scanner or a front-placed one. Or will Huawei go full on after the iPhone X’s design and skip the fingerprint scanner entirely, and rely only on Face Unlock? Only time can tell the answer.
