The Huawei Mate 40 launch date has been confirmed by the Chinese OEM. The successor to the Mate 30 will be announced in the coming weeks.
The company is likely to debut the Huawei Mate40 and Huawei Mate 40 Pro during the event. According to a leak by Pricebaba and Onleaks a few months ago, the Pro version device will have a curved screen, called waterfall display. The screen is reportedly 6.7-inches in size.
The phone has dual selfie cameras in a cutout in the top left corner of the screen, and powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 1020 octa-core processor.
The rear panel of the phone has quad cameras placed in a large circular bump, and has an LED Flash placed to the left of the ring. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a USB Type-C port and a speaker grille at the bottom, while the top of the frame is home to an earpiece and an IP Blaster. The power button and the volume rocker keys are located on the right side of the device. The handset does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Mate 40 Pro is expected to be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
