Along with MediaPad X1, Huawei has launched MediaPad M1 too which is a 8 inch tablet if you may call with 4G LTE support and unlike Mediapad X1, it cannot make calls using the SIM card. MediaPad M1 features a 8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels with a full-view-angle screen and a pixel density of 188PPI (pixels per inch).
The device is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core HiSilicon Kirin910 processor along with Mali 450 GPU & 1GB RAM and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean running on top of it as its operating system along with Huawei’s own Emotion UI 2.0.
In terms of camera, the device sports a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera and another 1-megapixel front-facing camera. None of the cameras on the device comes with flash support. It is just 7.9mm thick and weighs 329 grams only.
In terms of on board memory, it comes with just 8 GB of (can be customized to 16GB) internal storage. We are not sure though how it can be customized to 16GB. It also comes with support for microSD cards for extending storage capacity upto 32 GB.
