Huawei launched Huawei Nova and Huawei Nova Plus in the new Nova series during the IFA 2016 event last year in September. Both these smartphones come with metal body, fingerprint scanner, a 8 MP front shooter and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. Huawei Nova sports a compact 5.0 inch full HD 1080p display with a 3020 mAh battery whereas Nova Plus features a 5.5 inch full HD 1080p display with 3340 mAh battery. Nova comes with a 12 MP rear camera with LED flash, PDAF, 1.25-micron pixel size whereas Nova Plus comes with 16 MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, OIS.
Now almost after eight months, rumors coming out from China suggest that the next generation of Nova smartphones are well on the way and launch sooner than we expected. If the latest rumor is to be believed, then Huawei Nova 2 is going to be officially unveiled in next few weeks on May 26. Alleged images of Huawei Nova 2 is already leaked showing the device from front and back. We can clearly see a dual camera setup at the back panel top left corner along with LED flash and a fingerprint sensor module with Huawei branding at the bottom. The Antenna lines are seamlessly integrated at top and bottom similar to iPhone 7.
Apart from the dual camera setup, the rumor also suggests that Huawei Nova 2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. The rumor does not indicate the RAM capacity but we can safely assume at least 4 GB of RAM. It also indicates that the dual camera setup consists of 12 megapixel sensors, though the make of the sensors is unknown. At the moment, we have no information about the front camera or the battery capacity of the device.
As with any other leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
