Huawei has teased the upcoming Huawei Nova 3 smartphone for some time and has released some official teasers for the same which reveals the design of the phone. The official teaser reveals that Huawei Nova 3 features an iPhone X kind of notch at top of the display and dual camera module aligned vertically at the rear along with the fingerprint sensor. The teaser also indicates a 24MP front selfie camera with AI.
Even though the company is yet to offer more details about the hardware specifications of the device, we had the confirmation of the design of the device thanks to TENNA listing which revealed the design of the device in the form of Renders. The TENAA listing didn’t reveal the hardware specifications of the phone, but now the listing is updated and reveals all details of hardware specifications of Huawei Nova 3.
Based on TENAA listing, we now know that Huawei Nova 3 sports a 6.3-inch Display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 having resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by 2.36GHz octa-core processor along with 6GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB / 128GB of internal storage along with support for expandable storage up to 256GB via MicroSD card and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) based operating system.
In terms of camera, it features dual camera module both at front and rear making a total of four cameras. On the rear, it features 16MP + 24MP camera sensors while on the front it features a 24MP + 2MP camera sensors for selfies & video calls. Sensors on the phone include Gravity sensor, distance sensor, light sensor and fingerprint recognition. The phone is backed by a battery of 3650 mAh capacity. In terms of dimensions, it measures 157.0 × 73.7 × 7.3 (mm) and weighs 165 grams. Other features include support for 4G LTE along with VoLTE.
The company is expected to officially unveil the device in China on 18th July, though latest reports suggest that it may also launch in Philippines on July 28. We have no clue on the pricing details of the phone, though the previous variant i.e. Huawei Nova 2 at the time of launch was priced at 2,500 Yuan ($365/€325) while nova 2 plus costed 2,900 Yuan ($420/€375).
