Huawei appears to be working on a new smartphone specifically designed for Women and may launch the new smartphone as early as during the IFA 2016 event happening in Berlin from September 2 to September 7. This information comes from Xiang Ligang in the form of a Weibo message along with an image of the device itself. As per the weibo message, this new smartphone is named as “NOVA”. The weibo message when translated into English reads :
Huawei to a special female brand mobile phones, on Nova, Nova, IFA exhibition, the phone will first meet with you.
But it seems that the Weibo message was put up in error it appeared before it was expected too and hence, the weibo message was quickly deleted. It is no longer available on Weibo now, but we do have the screenshot of the message as reproduced above. Before Huawei, other brands such as Oppo already has a smartphone series specifically targeting women customers, Oppo Fashion or F series is one them.
Looking at the image attached of the Nova Smartphone, it reveals the side portion of the phone with big Volume rocker button along with metallic build, gold color with chamfered top & bottom sides. At the moment we have no more information about the hardware specifications of the Huawei Nova or any specific details on when it will be launched.
