Huawei will be launching its next flagship device, the Huawei P9 next month.
But the leaks just don’t seem to be stopping.
These new photos were leaked on the Chinese social network, Weibo.
The bubble wrap, and the blurred part on the phones, suggest that this could be a production unit phone. Usually, OEMs place some production marking on the devices, which are usually limited in number, to identify them.
Though the device and the leak appear to be legit, there are two big differences, when compared to the leaks we have seen earlier.
Firstly, the fingerprint scanner is round, and not square. And the cameras seem to be missing the laser auto focus module. So, this suggests that this phone could be a different variant, perhaps the Huawei P9 Lite.
The images show the speakers and the USB Type-C port on the device, which has a metal body design. The speakers do resemble those on the Huawei P8, although the USB port is strikingly different. The volume rocker keys and the power button are placed on the right side of the device.
