The Huawei P9 Lite’s technical specifications and press render images have been leaked ahead of the launch event scheduled for next month.
The phone, apparently has the codename Huawei Venus.
Evan Blass writes on VentureBeat that the P9 Lite, will sport a 5.2-inch display, which supports Full HD 1080p resolution, and has 3GB of RAM, just like the flagship P9 device. But there are notable differences between the two, the Huawei Venus will neither sport a full metal body, nor will it be powered by the flagship Huawei Kirin 950 processor. It will not have the dual cameras which are also exclusive to the P9.
But on the bright side, the P9 Lite will feature a rear placed fingerprint scanner.
The Huawei P9 range is set to be launched on April 6th in London, in at least three forms: P9 Lite, P9 and P9 Premium, while a fourth one called the P9 Max is also rumored to exist.
