Huawei has officially launched its flagship phones of 2016, the P9 and P9 Plus.
The P9 sports a 5.2-inch 1080p Full HD Display, with a pixel density of 423 ppi density. The P9 Plus features a slightly larger display, which is a 5.5-inch screen with a 401 ppi pixel density.
The P9 is powered by a Huawei Kirin 955 Chipset, which has 2.53Hz(A72) x 4 + 1.8GH2(A53) x 4 + i5 co-processor cores, and supports LPDDR4 RAM.
The P9 sports a full metal body (unibody), with a brushed hairline finish. The phone comes in four colours: titanium Grey, Mystic Silver, Prestige Gold and Rose Gold.

The Huawei P9 is backed by a 3000 mAh battery, and the P9 Plus is backed by a 3400 mAh battery.
The P9 measures at 145 x 6.95 x 70.90 mm. The phone supports Dual SIM cards, one of which is a micro SIM card slot and a micro SD card/NANO SIM card slot.
The highlight of the Huawei P9 are the Leica cameras, a dual lens setup which features the world’s first 4-colour RGBW Sensor. One of the cameras uses an RGB Sensor while the other is a Monochrome Sensor, thus ensuring better low light images. Adding to this, is the laser focus placed below the Dual LED Flash.

The Huawei P9 variants are priced as follows:
- P9: 3 GB RAM/ 32 GB storage : EUR 599 (~ Rs. 45,000)
- P9: 4 GB RAM/ 64 GB storage : EUR 649 (~ Rs. 49,000)
- P9 Plus : EUR 749 (~ Rs. 56,000)
These smartphones will be available in 29 launch countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe starting April 16.
