Chinese Smartphone manufacturers Huawei, are all set to launch a new device at the Mobile World Congress later this month.
Besides unveiling a successor for their flagship phone, the P6, Huawei also plan to launch a Smartwatch.
Wearable devices are the trend in the World of electronics, and its not all about Google Glass. Smartwatches made by Samsung, Sony, and Pebble are becoming very popular. We also covered a newcomer in this category, the Millenium Q Smartwatch which has some great features. According to The Wall Street Journal, Huawei also wants to try their luck in the smartwatch category.
WSJ also added, that a Huawei spokeswoman declined to speak about details of the products the company will be unveiling at the MWC
The biggest problem for smartwatches however, are the price. Most users seem to avoid them , once they look at the price, perhaps thinking they are better off spending the money on tablets or phones. Even the Samsung Galaxy Gear saw a huge slash in the prices in India.
With the event drawing near, the internet is abuzz with leaked images and technical specifications of various devices which will be unveiled at the Tech Show in Barcelona.
Hopefully we will be able to find more about Huawei’s smartwatch soon enough.
