Just a few hours back we reported that Reliance Jio is planning to disrupt the Indian smartphone market by unveiling a Rs 500 feature phone with 4G VoLTE capabilities at the Reliance Industries annual general meeting on July 21. The feature phone from Reliance Jio is still in rumours only and we are yet to see any credible details of the device itself.
Today, a new Infocus 4G LTE-enabled feature phone with VOLTE support is spotted on Chinese certification portal TENAA. This Infocus 4G LTE-enabled feature phone with VOLTE support comes with a model number IF9027 and looks too similar to the new Nokia 3310.
As per TENAA listing, Infocus IF9027 sports a 2.4 inch non-touch IPS display with a resolution of 240 × 320 pixels and is powered by 1.2 GHz Dual core processor along with 256 MB of RAM. It comes with 512 MB of internal storage along with support for expandable storage up to 32 GB. Infocus IF9027 runs on YunOS 5.2.0 operating system.
In terms of camera, it comes with a 3 MP main rear camera along with support for 720p HD shooting. In terms of connectivity, it supports 4G LTE Band 39, Band 40, Band 41 along with VOLTE. In terms of dimensions, it measures 123.5 × 56.35 × 14.45 (mm) and weighs 100 grammes. This feature phone is backed by a 2,000 mAh battery which is big considering the fact that it is just a feature phone.
At the moment, there is no official information about the possible launch of this feature phone from Infocus or the location where it may be launched. But as it has already passed TENAA, we can expect a China launch soon. It may also be launched in India considering the growing 4G LTE with VOLTE market, thanks to Reliance JIO entry in September last year and desperately needs an affordable 4G LTE with VOLTE feature phone.
