Xiaomi has ruled the entry-level fitness tracker market with i’s Mi Band priced at Rs. 999 only. Micromax backed YU did tried to grab a share of this entry-level smart band market by launching the Yufit band, but it was unable to do that in spite of having a OLED display which the 1st gen Mi Band lacks. Now, Intex is entering into this wearable band market and has just launched the FitRist Band or smart Band which is priced at same price as that of Mi Band i.e Rs. 999 only. FitRist will be exclusively available on Snapdeal only.
FitRist comes with a OLED display with a size of 0.86 inches and can track steps, distance, calorie count and quality of sleep. The real test though would be the accuracy of this tracking of different parameters which unless good won’t add to the goodwill for the band. The band weighs just 21 grams.
The FitRist band uses the same Bluetooth technology to sync with the smartphone and displays all the notifications including calls. It also helps control music track on the smart phone and can be used for tracking the smartphone too.
The band is powered by a battery which as per Intex claims, can last up to 12 days. It also comes with a Remote Shutter feature that lets you control smartphone camera from the band. The band can be used with devices running operating systems iOS 7 or above and Android 4.3 or above.
The band is also water-resistant and splash proof. It comes in two color variants of Dark Blue and White.
