Phablet market in India is growing steadily with launch of new models from manufacturers like Samsung, Micromax, Lava, Lenovo and Karbonn. Lenovo has just launched another model in this category i.e. Iris 550Q. Iris 550Q is a mid- premium phablet which features a 5.5 inch IPS HD display with OGS and resolution of 1280 X 720.
The device is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor (we are not sure about the make of the processor though, but we guess it’s Mediatech) with 1GB RAM and runs Android Jelly Bean 4.2 on top of it as its operating system. The OTA updates in future are though promised by Lava.
In terms of camera, Iris 550Q sports an 8 MP primary rear camera with BSI sensor capable of recording videos in 1080p resolution and another 2 MP front camera which can be used for video calling and applications like Skype or Google hangouts.
In terms of storage, it comes with internal memory of 4 GB along with support for expandable memory using micro SD cards up to 32 GB.
