As expected, Lenovo has officially announced the ZUK Edge smartphone in China. Initial rumors had pointed to almost bezel-less display similar to Xiaomi Mi Mix, which was contradicted later on by the TENAA listing of the device. Today the official launch of ZUK Edge confirms that. Instead of a completely bezel-less display, the device comes with pretty thin bezels surrounding the front display with body-to-screen ratio of 86.4 percent. it also comes with a U-Touch fingerprint sensor embedded under the glass panel unlocking the device in just 0.09 seconds.
ZUK Edge sports 5.5 inch full HD 1080p display with 2.5D curved corning gorilla glass, with a pixel density of 401ppi. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at 2.35GHz along with Adreno 530 GPU and comes with two RAM variants i.e. 6 GB and 4 GB of RAM. In terms of storage it comes with 64 GB of internal storage and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system with ZUI on top.
In terms of camera, it sports a 13 MP main rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF support, LED flash along with support for slo-mo video and professional mode. On the front, a 8 MP front shooter with f/2.2 aperture is there for selfies. It is backed by 3,100 mAh lithium-ion polymer battery along with support for Quick Charge 3.0. In terms of connectivity, it comes with dual-SIM card (nano) slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and an USB Type-C port. It is 7.68 mm thick and weighs 160 grams.
ZUK Edge pricing starts at 2,299 Yuan (~Rs 23,000 or $330 ) for the 4 GB RAM variant , while the 6 GB RAM variant is priced at 2,499 Yuan (~Rs 25,000 or $360). It comes in two colors Black and White.
