Lenovo owned subsidiary, ZUK, will begin retailing the International variant of its flagship phone, the ZUK Z1, in October.
The important thing here, is that the phone will run Cyanogen OS out of the box.
We are not sure if the device will be sold in India, but Lenovo has a massive user base here, so it seems likely that the ZUK Z1 may hit our shores, on the off chance that Micromax and YU’s exclusivity deal with Cyanogen, doesn’t pose as a hindrance, like it once did with the OnePlus One.
The ZUK Z1 boasts some impressive specs, in that it sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage with no expandable memory.
It flaunts a 13 megapixel rear camera, and packs in a huge 4100mAh battery.
If that sounds like a better version of the OnePlus One, wait till you hear this. The ZUK Z1 is a Dual SIM phone, which supports 4G LTE, and also features a fingerprint sensor, and a USB Type-C port. The best part is that the Chinese variant of the phone retails for just 1,799 Yuan (Rs, 19000 or $280).
The ZUK Z1 will begin retailing internationally from mid-October.
