LG has pre announced the G2 mini much before the expected date of February 24. LG G2 mini is not so powerful mini version of LG G2 and preferably LG should have avoided associating the device with G2 name. G2 Mini is far cry from the LG’s flagship device G2 and won’t match its power, screen quality, or camera. Looking at the hardware specs, it is clear that the device is being targeted for price sensitive markets.
LG G2 Mini will be powered by either a Snapdragon 400 or Nvidia Tegra 4i Processor and will feature a low resolution (540×960) 4.7 inch display. In terms of Camera the device will come with an 8MP camera and will be powered by a 2440mAh battery. In terms of on board memory, it will have just 8GB of internal memory along with support for external storage in the form of microSD card. In terms of operating system though, the device will be powered by Android 4.4 Kitkat.
LG plans to launch plans the G2 mini roll out in March starting in Russia and its neighboring countries, followed by the Middle East, Latin America, Asia, and Europe.
