Just few minutes back, we reported about an alleged LG G6 Render showing full front display getting leaked ahead of official launch during the Mobile World Congress MWC on February 26. LG G5 launched last year with a modular design failed to make desired impact in the smartphone market and the company is rumored to get rid of that modular design for their upcoming flagship device LG G6.
Even though we have not much clue about the technical specifications of G6, yet we expected it to be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. But, a new rumor originating on Weibo suggests otherwise. The rumor indicated that LG G6 may not be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor but instead by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor which powers devices such as OnePlus 3T. The upcoming flagship devices from other brands such as Samsung Galaxy S8 or Xiaomi Mi 6 is rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 835 and G6 may look out of sync if it is powered by Snapdragon 821.
It seems an odd choice if the rumor is indeed true and we got no clue on the circumstances which propel LG to make the choice for SD 821 instead of SD835. LG G6 is rumoured to sport a large 5.7-inch display with an odd aspect ratio of 2:1 with emphasis on minimal bezels with screen-to-bezel ratio greater than 90 percent and a dual camera setup at the back panel.
At the moment, we do not have much details about the technical specifications of the device, except these kind of rumors. Take this with a pinch of salt just like the case with most of the rumors reported on Androidpure. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
